weekend update

so this was a really fun weekend .

friday - i hung out with the girls- miriam, sheryl, and nannette. we just had dinner at plutos on irving. it was really good. i had a tri tip sandwich and it was really big. then we headed to japan town and went to sophie's crepes. yummmmmm!!!!! nannette and i got crepes while miriam and sheryl got their mocha ice blends at coffee bean and tea leaf. we then headed to ocean beach to see people who were having bonfires since it was a really nice night. afterwards we headed back to nannette's place to hang out. we went home around 10pm cause we were pretty tired... damn we're getting old!

saturday - well, read the entry below. it says it all. that night i had dinner with my family at cha-am. where else? they always want to go there! afterwards, i went to see "garden state" with eric and kevin. the movie was pretty good. i didn't really know what to expect since i've only read a little about the plot and i've read good reviews on zach braff's (the writer, director and star of garden state as well as jd on scrubs) blog. anyways i thought it was pretty good. sometimes i like going into a movie not knowing what to expect so that i won't be disappointed later.

sunday - well it was pretty much a chill day. i hung out with ian and my cousin jen. ian and i took kendall to jen's house to play with her dog meeko. meeko, however, was scared of kendall! she was hiding behind jen and she didn't want to play. kendall, of course, was running a muck around the backyard and was very friendly as usual. it's funny to see other dogs be afraid of kendall and then seeing kendall want to play with them. anyways, eric and i saw the vma's last night. it was a'ight. kinda boring. there wasn't anything that really wow'ed me. the vma's are always really hyped up and then i usually find them to be pretty boring. i was looking forward to seeing hoobastank perform but their set was really short and they were out of tune. jessica simpson was ok. usher was eh... he's starting to get played out. beyonce looked way too done up. the olsen twins were there too but so what. the daughters of presidential hopeful john kerry were there but they were booed and cheered on. overall the vma's were eh. there's always next year!
