the best day ever

so today i met my favorite baseball player, eric chavez.

he's the 3rd basemen on the oakland a's and he's not only a great player but he's SO hot! anyways he did an autograph signing at the fitzpatrick hummer dealership in concord. i finally convinced my eric to come with me so we went around 9am. it starts at 10am but i was afraid that the line would be really long since chavez is a pretty popular player. but when we got to the dealership, there was only about 25 people in line. i was pretty excited since i was finally able to meet my favorite player! after waiting in the hot sun for about an hour, we finally got to the table! ken macha was first and we got his autograph. he didn't really say anything and he didn't seem like he was even excited to be there. then it was mr. chavez... he is so much cuter in person! anyways i handed him my ball to sign and then he dropped it! whoops! when he saw me and eric, he was like "i've seen you two before" and that's when i took a pic with him. i even had a conversation with him... here it goes:

marj: actually i know a guy you played baseball with in high school.
chavez: really who?
marj: dennis mello.
chavez: oh yea, i remember him. how do you know him?
marj: his wife is my old roommate.
chavez: really? who did he marry?
marj: sandra marshall.
chavez: (thinking) really?
marj: the marshall twins?
chavez: oh yea... i remember.

so that was it... it was the best conversation! it only lasted a minute but it is the most memorable minute! anyways i was on cloud 9 and eric was just laughing at me!! i had the biggest smile on my face because i finally got to meet eric chavez!

i cannot wait to develop my film!!! i really wish i had a digital camera so i could see and share my pic with chavez. i can't wait to put it up at work next to my pic with jermaine dye.

ahhh... what a morning!
