hot little christmas

this past weekend, nannette and jerry hosted a little christmas party at their place. it was a really nice party... lots of good food, good friends, and good times! there was so much food from meatballs to scallops wrapped in bacon to yummy cheese to an assortment of chinese food to chocolate fondue and cake! we were all stuffed on our way home.

we all played the white elephant gift exchange, which i have come to realize brings out the worst in people. just kidding... it's a game where you get a gift and then if someone else likes your gift, they can take it away from you. anyways, in white elephant you never want to be first because if you get something really good then you are more than likely not going to end up with it or if you get something that really sucks, well you are stuck with it! so i was first, yay, and i got a cocktail book, which i was happy with but by the end of the game, i ended up with the rachael ray 30 min meal cookbook! yippppeee! even better! eric got the cocktail book but terrance was nice enough to trade him for the snackmaster which eric really wanted! poor cinco... people kept taking things from him like a shot glass checkers set, cranium, the rachael ray cook book, but he ended up with something he really liked - a warriors shirt.

after a lot of gift swapping, we played monkey balls on game cube which was fun but frustrating because i couldn't get the hang of it. afterwards we played some texas hold 'em. i ended up in 2nd place and won a whopping $8! after a lot of cheese, chocolate fondue, and hanging out with good friends we headed home. it was a really nice party and it was fun to just hang out with everyone. ahh good times, good times...
