this was the bestest birfday ever...

(note: this entry was originally started on 11/6/2004 at 9:49pm. i got sleepy and did not finish it. so i'm finally completing the entry... days later! so this might be a long one!)
i have finally turned the big 2-5 yesterday... it's weird cause some have said "damn you're only turning 25?" while others have commented "wow, you're getting old." i really don't feel that different. am i supposed to? i still feel like i'm a teenager living an adult life. i don't know, maybe in the next couple months i'll hit my quarter life crisis.

this year i feel as if my birthday was three days long and it now coming to an end. this morning after throwing up and feeling like my head weighed 300 pounds, i told eric that this was one of the best birthdays i've ever had. not to think that the others have sucked but this was the one year that i didn't feel bad that some people who are supposed to remember your birthday (like your dad) didn't remember. i think it's because the people who did remember were the people who cared about me the most made this birthday really special for me.

so the celebration began on thurday (11/4). i was a little late for work, a whole 4 minutes, and i was walking quickly to my cubicle. once there i literally ran into a streamer. i looked at my cubicle and there was streamers decorated to look like a ceiling! i had to stop and think about what day it was. i was thinking "i thought my birthday was tomorrow?!" and i second guessed myself and had to look at the phone to clarify what the date was. it was still november 4th but apparently someone wanted to celebrate it early... my old team, OMP, at work! it was really sweet of them to still want to celebrate my birhtday even though i'm not on their team anymore. it made me feel all warm and fuzzy! hee hee!!!! later that night, eric and i were supposed to go out for dinner but i was not feeling too well so he decided to bring home bbq from everett and jones...mmmmmm!!!! he also got me an ice cream cake! he's the best!

friday, my actual birthday... when i got to work, i didn't really expect much. i wasn't sure if my new team at work knew and i just thought i would run into the same decorations at my cube. but i was sooooo wrong! nannette, sheryl and jerry decorated my cubicle, no wait, my area with strawberry shortcake decorations!!!! it was sooooooooo cute! there was pink balloons on the floor, which was my strawberry patch, and there was strawberry shortcake napkins pinned to the wall and even a poster that said it was my birthday. there was even little hats which i had to give away to the first three people who said happy birthday and i also got a little tote with lip gloss, nail polish and glitter. it even smelled like starwberries in my area cause there was a little air freshener! it was really, really cute. they did such a good job! they even got me cupcakes and strawberry shortcake to go along with it. my current team at work OBI even got me a chocolate cake with strawberries. i guess it was a strawberry themed birthday this year!

that night, i had dinner at le cheval with eric, the dizons, carla, brian, mark, lito, jerry, glenn, tony, steve, and loi. it was a lot of fun and the food was really good! after dinner, we headed to the lucky lounge, where minam, marcel, joe, reuben, jamie, and christina met up with us. i got really, really drunk. i could not stand up straight and when we got into the car to go home, i passed out and then threw up outside my house. despite all that, i had a really good time! i did, however, wake up with the biggest hangover!

saturday night, i had dinner with my family and that's always interesting!got a lot of birthday money so now i have spending money for vegas! yay! i also have a little extra and so i went shopping on sunday with eric. my new favorite color for the season is green. so i got a really cute green purse and some tops!

anyways... i'm really excited right now cause just three more days until vegas!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! we had to book our room for excalibur instead of flamingo cause nette heard there was a virus going around in the flamingo casino. people who caught it were experiencing flu-like symptoms and diarrhea. yuck! anyways we're now staying at the excalibur, which should be ok. it's not our first choice since it's more of a family casino. oh well. anything to not get sick!

ok... that's it for now... time to get back to work, i guess. i can't really concentrate cause my mind is on vegas! i keep looking at the las vegas website to get ideas about where to go, where to eat, where to party!
vegas, here we come!
